John and Chandler’s engagement session in downtown Columbia was one for the books, blending romance with the city's urban charm. We began the evening at one of their favorite spots, Hanabi, a cozy Japanese restaurant nestled on Main Street. The atmosphere here was warm and intimate, making it a perfect starting point for their session. With soft lighting and a modern vibe, Hanabi set the scene as they enjoyed a shared laugh over drinks—a moment that captured the essence of their relationship: fun, down-to-earth, and effortlessly stylish. Chandler told me she loves a good black and white image, which made these restaurant portraits feel even more intimate and romantic.

After leaving Hanabi, we strolled through the bustling Main Street area. This part of downtown Columbia has a unique blend of historic charm and vibrant energy, and it gave John and Chandler’s photos that city backdrop they were hoping for.
